ABOUT ME

My name is Geanina Butiseaca and I am a geologist who is in love with history in any form, being it the history of earth, life or simply humankind... I am doing  geology for more than 12 years and about 5 years ago I started with archaeology

(one of my childhood biggest dreams).

Currently I am a PhD student at Senckenberg Institute in Germany reconstructing past-climates based on biomarkers and isotopes. Through this blog, I want to bring geology and geosciences in the life of archaeologists and show people how cool geo-archaeology is. From building cities to making jewelleries, from pottery to pigments, all this information can be a very powerful tool in understanding how human species evolved, how societies were built based on the presence/availability of natural resources and our ability to adapt to environmental conditions.
